Technical Project Manager

As our Technical Project Manager you will:
  • Plan, develop, and manage: scope, budget and timeline for multiple projects (often running at the same time)
  • Develop and manage various related documents including statements of work, Gantt charts, budget reports, project status reports, and issues lists.
  • Plan and manage resourcing for delivery of all team projects (approx. 5 team members) in coordination with external teams, partners, and clients
  • Develop and maintain detailed Production Schedules
  • Provide leadership to various team members by directing their activities according to the project work plan.
  • Facilitate the planning, execution, testing, support, and communication of all project activities
  • Facilitate the timely flow of information within the project team, business units, client teams and our clients
  • Participate in and often lead working sessions to define and document project requirements
  • Design Phase: Assist in preparation of functional specification documents and ensure they are comprehensive with respect to business requirement, functionality, performance, and operating efficiency. You lead the estimating process by driving scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Build Phase: Manage the development of applications and systems according to specifications, timelines, and budgets. Participate in product team reviews and client walk-through.
  • Testing Phase: Ensure that Quality Assurance testing is completed on all projects prior to being moved to production. Review and approve test strategy, test plans and test cases, ensuring business requirements are met. Support QA staff in execution of test plan, ensure that QA is provided with updated functional specifications. Ensure all testing is done as per budget and timeline.
  1. Support Phase: Manage the support of applications and systems according to SLAs and budgets. Ensure deployment schedules are followed.
  2. Review project budgets with Digital Managers, Client Services Project Managers, and Account Manager

As a Technical Project Manager you have:
  • Excellent project planning and delivery skills
  • Strong budget and resource-management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and negotiating skills
  • The ability to effectively manage multiple complex activities within tight deadlines and to manage multiple project delivery deadlines at the same time
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide leadership in a team environment
  • Excellent business analysis skills, including the ability to understand and clearly document business system requirements
  • Proven results-oriented approach by keeping teams accountable for project deliverables
  • Relevant client-facing experience including managing client and partner timelines
  • 5+ yrs. experience SDLC or agile project management processes for multi-tier web and Windows based applications
  • 5+ yrs. experience using project management tools and software development methodologies (e.g. Microsoft Project, Share Point, Gantt charts)
  • 5+ yrs. development experience with MS SQL, .NET technologies, C#, XML data structures and different operating system/browser environments
  • 5+ yrs. experience in managing technology projects
  • 5+ yrs. experience in designing and developing multi-tier web based applications
  • 3+ yrs. experience in writing technical and functional specifications
  • Post-secondary education in computer science or equivalent
  • Microsoft Certifications is a plus
  • PMP Certification is a plus
